Nabil Mai
Nabil Mai coordinates state government affairs for the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), where he works to ensure that states remain innovation-friendly as they navigate emerging technologies. He oversees key areas of CTA’s state policy portfolio, managing legislative engagement on artificial intelligence (AI) and autonomous vehicles (AVs).
In this role, Nabil works directly with state lawmakers and lobbying teams on the ground to prevent a patchwork of conflicting AI and AV regulations, advocating instead for consistent, innovation-driven frameworks that balance safety, accountability, and growth. As the state point of contact for CTA members, he helps companies of all sizes engage effectively on state legislation and ensures that the voice of the technology industry is heard in policymaking.
Nabil also leads CTA’s flagship CES State Leaders in Technology (LIT) program, which connects state officials with innovators to highlight how technology can advance priorities in mobility, energy, health, and beyond. Through his leadership in third-party outreach, Nabil builds relationships with legislators and key stakeholders, ensuring CTA members and their values are well represented in every state.
His work reflects a deep commitment to keeping states open to innovation while strengthening the public–private partnerships essential for the next generation of AI and mobility technologies.
