Mouli Venkatesan
Mouli Venkatesan is responsible for the vision and execution of the enterprise AI agenda. In this role, Mouli leads the company’s strategic approach to artificial intelligence and data analytics, focusing on creating a more connected, intelligent, and personalized health system that improves every touch point for patients, members, and providers.
Prior to this role, Mouli served as the chief information officer of Optum Health and Financial Technology. There, he led a global team with the vision of delivering the next generation of health care by building a high-quality, comprehensive, connected, and consumer-centric health care technology system.
Mouli also led the enterprise technology agenda for interoperability, partnering closely with business stakeholders, external regulators, and industry forums. Before that, he served as the CIO of UnitedHealthcare Core Services where he established, led, and executed strategic technology roadmaps and associated capital investments to support UnitedHealthcare businesses through innovative and differentiated technology capabilities.
Mouli has an extensive background in technology strategy and software engineering for modern engineering platforms and high-volume processing systems across the health care domain. He is committed to health care innovation and serves in advisory roles within the industry.
Mouli received his undergraduate degree in electronic engineering from an Indian university and his MBA in health care from the University of St. Thomas. He currently resides in Minnesota with his wife and two children.
