Adam Aten

Adam Aten is Head of Government Affairs & Public Policy at Verily Health, a precision health company focused on AI-native platforms for research, care, and public health. He leads the company’s public policy strategy at the intersection of health technology, biomedical innovation, and payment reform. Before joining Verily Health, he held senior policy and research roles at the Duke-Margolis Institute for Health Policy and the Brookings Institution. He previously held strategic roles across the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services—including ONC, CMS, and CDC—and with the World Bank.

Adam also serves as a healthcare administration officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve with the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he mobilized to the Pentagon in support of Navy Medicine’s global operations. He holds graduate degrees in public health and health economics and policy.
