Ammon Fillmore

Ammon Fillmore’s legal leadership focuses on where data and technology accelerate healthcare outcomes. Ammon has extensive experience advising healthcare systems, physician practice groups, technology companies, and public agencies on privacy, security, and operational matters including emerging issues around artificial intelligence, information blocking, data rights, telehealth and telesurgery, interoperability, and technology licensing and contracting.

Ammon is the Associate Chief Legal Officer: Information & Technology with AdventHealth, a non-profit health care system operating in 9 states with 56 hospital campuses and over 1,300 clinics. Prior to joining AdventHealth, Ammon was the General Counsel and Privacy Officer at the Indiana Health Information Exchange, and an associate and shareholder attorney with the Health Information Technology and Security Group at the law firm Hall Render.

Ammon earned his Juris Doctor and Master of Health Administration from the University of Iowa where he also spent time working for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Fairbanks, Alaska and the Kameda Medical Center in Kamogawa City, Japan.

Outside the office, Ammon can be found hiking and cycling with his family and ill-reputed St. Bernard (Max), defending the Oxford comma, as well as competing in epee fencing.
