Connor Walsh
Connor Walsh is a healthcare cybersecurity leader with experience across medical technology, clinical infrastructure, and enterprise risk management. He currently serves as CISO/Cybersecurity Officer for the Americas at Siemens Healthineers, where his work focuses on aligning cybersecurity, regulatory expectations, customer trust, and the secure adoption of connected medical technologies across North America and Latin America.
Prior to joining Siemens Healthineers, Connor served as Director of the national Medical Device Networking and Cybersecurity division for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, where he supported strategy and policy for securing complex healthcare technology environments across more than 170 VA medical centers. He also co-led the VA Medical Device Security Workgroup, whose work was recognized with the 2024 AAMI Cybersecurity Visionary Award.
Connor brings perspective from both the healthcare provider and medical technology manufacturer sides of the industry. His work spans medical device cybersecurity, clinical engineering, enterprise security, privacy, regulatory alignment, customer assurance, and cross-functional cybersecurity governance.
He has led and contributed to healthcare cybersecurity workgroups and industry efforts involving HSCC, H-ISAC, NIST, AdvaMed, and AAMI, with a focus on practical, sector-aligned guidance for medical device security and healthcare cyber resilience.
He holds CISSP, CEH, CCNA Routing and Switching, and CompTIA Network+ certifications. Connor is a graduate of the VA Leadership Development Institute, a 2022 MD Publishing “40 Under 40” awardee, and a prior cybersecurity columnist for TechNation Magazine.
